From May 9 to 11, Belgrade became not only an arena for sports performances but also a place of human connection, solidarity, and inspiration. The second major international meeting of the B-BALL (Beyond Barriers and Limitations)project, funded by the Erasmus+ Sport 2024 program, brought together children and young people with special needs from three countries – Bulgaria, Serbia, and France – for an unforgettable basketball experience.

Under the theme "Basketball Without Barriers", participants spent a weekend filled with joy, new friendships, and genuine emotions. The main goal of the project – inclusion through sports – came to life both on and off the court. The children not only trained and played basketball together but also had the opportunity to attend the basketball match between "Crvena Zvezda" and "Igokea" at the legendary "Stark Arena", as well as explore the historical and sports landmarks of Belgrade. Special attention was given to visiting the "Crvena Zvezda" courts, considered the birthplace of Serbian basketball.

The event was supported by the three partner clubs in the project:
SK "Date Sport" – Plovdiv, Bulgaria
KK "IBC" – Belgrade, Serbia
AS "Fondettes" – France
The children from these clubs actively participated in helping their peers with special needs, demonstrating true teamwork, tolerance, and mutual support.

We would like to extend special thanks to our hosts and partners from KK IBC Belgrade for the excellent organization, warm welcome, and kind treatment of every participant

Basketball is just the beginning.
Together, we are creating a world without barriers – with more understanding, friendship, and equal opportunities for every child.
We are building bridges. We are overcoming barriers.
For a brighter and better future
